Your new pilots... Just the way you want them
A first of its kind; a competency based modular training programme which offers all the benefits of integrated training, including performance guarantees and risk reduction strategies, but at significantly less cost. BESTPILOT™ Resourcing can be tailored at all stages to meet your requirements.
Benefits to the Airline
- New pilots can be procured any time between 3 and 18 months allowing for short, medium and long term resourcing solutions.
Uniquely this programme offers an integrated Hour Building and ATPL groundschool phase, which enables the individual to put knowledge gained in groundschool into practice at the time of learning.
Developing a course on the basis of modular training means that the individual, or airline, should there be a change in circumstance, can opt out at several points but the individual still benefits from licences issued.
The cost of BESTPILOT™ Resourcing is significantly lower than any other ‘like for like’ course on the market but all of the value adds and performance guarantees are included.
Bank funding or airline financial guarantees are considerably less.
BA CityFlyer selected KURA to partner them in launch of two innovative programmes specifically designed to support modular trained pilots

- Full time permanent contract
- Incorporating BESTPILOT™
- Leading to the role of a First Officer on the Embraer fleet
- Fully funded type rating
- Base training
- Line training
- Performance guarantee
- Exclusively for modular trained pilots
I have had the pleasure of working closely with KURA since 2014 and can testify to the professionalism, commitment and dedication of all involved. In an industry that has developed a seemingly unquenchable thirst for new pilots it is easy for the inexperienced to make ill informed and poor choices. I have always been impressed that KURA’s primary concern is for the well being of aspiring pilots and to ensure that they receive the best advice and training to prepare them for a career in airline flying.
Since my first association with KURA I have recruited significant numbers of KURA trained pilots into two airlines. All of these individuals have impressed me with their determination, resilience and dedication. These basic qualities, which have often been tested to the extreme in pursuing their chosen career, have been further honed by KURA training and development to produce confident and well prepared airline ready pilots. I can say with conviction that they are a match for any other new pilot entering the industry by any other route.
What KURA set out to do was innovative and ground breaking. The modular path into airline flying was once a very rocky road with an uncertain outcome. The work that KURA has done to smooth that road and support the dedicated young people who are on it has opened up a once neglected pool of talent and done an enormous service to the airline industry. That this has been achieved while at the same time genuinely caring about all those who pass through KURA’s door shows that in this sometimes cut throat business there can still be room for the personal touch.
Flybe recognises the value of modular trained pilots. In order to ensure modular trained pilots have the same opportunities traditionally available to integrated trained pilots, Flybe endorses an innovative new programme: Kura Aviation’s BESTPILOT programme.
KURA stands out for their accountability and follow up for quality of their graduates. Their active link between training and airline means we can work together to get the right candidates prepared in the best way for our requirements.
