Kura introduces BESTPILOT to the aviation training industry at the Heathrow Flyer Show on April 12th.
Isobel, Shon, Lorraine and Philip attended and were delighted to meet so many old friends and colleagues, all coming to say hello and wish us luck.
Interest in BestPilot Finishing School was high and we enjoyed a constant stream of visitors, both trainee pilots and their parents, enquiring about entry to the programme.
The requirement of advanced assessment for those cadets about to complete their CPL/IR, and applying to join Finishing School, was a consistent surprise to the modular trained students we spoke to. Their reaction was however very positive and we were told many times that it was a welcome change to have the opportunity to be independently assessed and receive feedback about capabilities and progress.
The most consistent feedback we received was that BestPilot is an excellent opportunity for those trainee pilots undertaking a modular route of training and that “bridging the gap” was critical in opening up opportunities in pilot training and supporting more young people entering the profession.
April is close to the school and university examination period so we hope to see many more prospective pilots whether in raining or about to start at the next Flyer Show in Leeds on July 12th.
