TODAY I DID IT. MY FIRST FLIGHT ON A BOEING 737. AND IT WAS AMAZING.
It was this moment I worked towards since I first started dreaming of flying jets and it was better than I could even imagine. After my bachelor in Industrial Management, I started a gliding course. After my first take off I knew I wanted to start a career in aviation. I started an integrated course at EPST (in the footsteps of a good friend of mine) and finished my training in 2012. After this I did everything I could to stay in the air. I actually lived the last one and half years on Gran Canaria to fly full time for two small companies. Finally after 4 years in general aviation and with around 1000 flight hours, I got a job offer at Norwegian.
Kura helped me in many ways. From the moment I heard about the organization I wanted to join. The BESTPILOT program brought my confidence in aviation back and I can describe it as the missing link between flight training and starting at an airline. With a good focus on competences and lots of useful practical tips I felt ready for an interview and ready to start at an airline. By keeping on applying after I finished Kura I got an interview at Norwegian.
A Skype interview with Isobel (who always does everything she can do to help) made me feel 100% ready for the interview. In my training here at Norwegian I also found CRM is getting much more important and was complemented by the teacher on the knowledge I obtained via Kura.
Now I actually start flying for Norwegian in a week and I can’t wait. I am very grateful for everything Kura did for me and can (and will) sincerely recommend Kura to any graduated pilot! If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
