Becoming an airline pilot was been my dream from childhood. After completing my education studies, I enrolled on an integrated ATPL course with one of the famous flight schools in UK thinking that it was the best way to “land” my first job on a commercial jet.
I quickly realised that the school was bringing trainee pilots to the standard of a fully qualified cadet pilot, but not to the standard of a fully qualified commercial First Officer; one reason for this was the lack of individual support for the trainee pilot.
During the final part of my training I happened to meet a instructor who knew both KURA and my flight school. When discussing my concerns with him, he suggested I contact KURA. The next day I had a telephone call with Philip and shortly after I joined KURA for their Pilot Fundamentals and Professional Pilot Development courses – the 2 weeks of non-technical Professional Development training in the BESTPILOT programme.
The KURA training helped me develop the confidence I needed to successfully pass airline interview by offering a deep insight into what was expected of a First Officer and helping to develop my personal skills.
The KURA team is a real family who are there for you and who will accompany you through your journey to the flight deck. Today I fly the B757 across Europe and sometimes the world, and I truly think that it would not have been possible without the help of KURA Aviation.
Isobel, Philip, and the whole team – I owe you so much, thank you for everything.
