London based charity, The Air League, have received over 100 applications for flying scholarships and will hold interviews in conjunction with KURA Aviation C.I.C. at KURA’s training facility in Stratford-upon-Avon on 3rd April 2018.
The Air League annually offers 50 scholarships of 12 hours of powered flight training towards the award of a Private Pilot’s Licence. The intention is to enable ambitious individuals with financial constraints the opportunity to achieve solo flight, which for many will signify the beginning of their career in aviation.
The interviews will be conducted by the CEO’s of both The Air League and KURA Aviation C.I.C., giving candidates a true insight into the standards required by the aviation industry.
“We are delighted to welcome The Air League to our training school and assist them during the interview process for their flying scholarships”, said Isobel Hall, KURA Aviation C.I.C. CEO.
“As a Community Interest Company, we are invested in supporting the new pilot community and encouraging fresh, young talent into the industry”.
Over 1,000 scholarships have been awarded by The Air League since it was established in 1909. For further information on the scholarships and bursaries available, visit www.airleague.co.uk.
